TAINAN, Taiwan – December 14, 2022 – Decathlon S.A., the world largest sporting goods retailer with over 1,697 stores in 60 countries and regions (2020) and Redoxlens Co., Ltd., a pioneer in the Electrochromism field that involved in developing and manufacturing Flexible Electrochromic Devices, jointly announced their collaboration to develop and manufacture the Electrochromic Snow Goggle.

Electrochromic lens (EC lens) is a lens that reversibly changes color on demand when a low voltage is applied, allowing its user to control the Visible Light Transmission (VLT%) of the device.

With the Redoxlens patented technique, it can make the EC lens flexible and state solid which can be better and safer integrated to a snow goggle.

Such electrochromic snow goggle can allow skiers to switch the tint of their lens without changing or taking off their goggles or lenses. Let the user could easily prepare and face different kind of weather condition while they are skiing. The product is expected to be launched in 2023 winter.
